As a flutist

I play all kinds of music from classical to pop and what I am really good at is playing contemporary music with a lot of extended techniques. I am especially good at playing by ears, so improvising is one of my strengths too. I just had a flute solo recital titled Whispering on the Wind organized by The Society of Malaysian Contemporary Composers in 2010. It was also a debut recital of the newly founded society featuring flute solos by Malaysia composers – Chong Kee Yong, Yii Kah Hoe, Dr. Tazul Tajuddin, Chong Huey Ching, and also my own works.

If you need a flutist to do anything, including premiering your flute solos, or you need a guest performer for a recital, you are always welcome to contact me and I would love to make these things happen for you.

As a composer

Of course, I compose music, but I do transcriptions too. I have good ears too, so it takes me almost no time to notate whatever I listen to.
