Chin is also an active flute and Chinese flute player. He recently performed at the Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Freer Gallery of Art in Smithsonian Museum, Cutler Majestic Theatre in Boston, Jay Pritzker Pavilion and Chicago Institute of Art in Chicago, Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC, MGM Grand Conference in Las Vegas, and Silesian Theatre in Katowice, Poland.
